Clinics, clinics & more clinics is the goal for 2007. Laurie has booked several new clinics with help from friends and students in Washington, Oregon and both Southern and Northern California. If you are not close enough to a clinic location remember you can host one in your area. Gather 10 riders for 2 days and find an arena and we will do the rest. Just call Laurie and get the details.
At this time, we are scaling back on training here at the Circle S. I will only be taking 4 horses at a time and they must be started prior to coming to us. I am getting too old to start colts but I do have a couple of trainers available if our clients need a referral. We are still available for the groundwork portion of the training which of course is the foundation of any well trained horse. We then send them out for the first 30 rides or so, then they return to us for the training. We do work closely with the trainers who will be doing the first rides so you will still have peace of mind that these horses are being ridden with the same finess that I use when I breaks colts.
You will notice a new face on the website - Garrick Pasini is my new apprentice. An extremely talented farrier who has become an excellent horsemen with unlimited potential. He is well on his way to becoming a reinsman. Garrick is 30-years old and travels 2-1/2 hours each way weekly to do his training. Garrick was a crop duster for 5 years and worked as an airplane mechanic. For the past 5 years Garrick has buckarooed on several ranches, rodeoed and big looped. When Garrick found our training program he was hooked. His progress has been steady and fast. He has become an
integral
part of our clinic team and is taking on more and more responsibilities. Garrick will be competing in the California Working Ranch Horse Association events. If anyone would like to sponsor him in these events, please contact us. You can also contact us if you are interested in having Garrick shoe your horses!!
Our newest project is a documentary. It will be our first and will give me the opportunity to produce and direct without being on camera, which is very exciting for me. As we proceed, I will fill you in on our progress.
As always, Ride Balanced, confident and controlled, RE
